We are a small but growing bakery business in Ottawa, specializing in handcrafted sugar-free pastries and desserts. Our mission is to create treats that taste indulgent while meeting the needs of customers looking for healthier alternatives. We are starting small, but with big plans — and we’re looking for the right person to grow with us.

We are hiring our first employee: a Pastry Cook / Baker to lead production of our pastries. This role will start part-time (about 10 hours per week, split over two days), with the opportunity to expand to full-time as the business grows.

• Prepare and bake pastries according to established recipes and standards.

• Ensure consistency, quality, and attention to detail in every batch.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen workspace.

• Assist with scaling production as demand grows.

• Collaborate with the owners to improve efficiency and workflows.

• Experience as a pastry cook, baker, or relevant culinary training.

• Strong technical pastry skills (doughs, fillings, creams, decoration).

• Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively.

• Knowledge of food safety and handling (Food Handler’s Certificate is a plus).

• Reliable, flexible, and motivated to grow with a startup bakery.
